Welcome to the House of Seaweed privacy policy. 

House of Seaweed is a trading name of Seaweed Enterprises Limited (Company number SC771242). We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. Whenever you communicate with House of Seaweed in person, by telephone, email or via our website, we will respect the security of your personal data and only collect information to provide great service and commit to ensuring it is retained securely.

Controller

Seaweed Enterprises Limited trading as House of Seaweed is the controller and responsible for your personal data (collectively referred to as "we", "us" or "our" in this privacy policy).

This privacy policy applies to all personal data processed by House of Seaweed, and it will apply to you, for example if you or your company use or request any of our products and services; which include our website (www.houseofseaweed.com) and our newsletter (“Services”); or where you contact us, and if we process your personal data for any other purpose. 

This privacy policy explains how we collect, use and store your personal data, the purpose for which it is collected, who we share it with and what rights you have in relation to our handling of your personal data.

Personal Data Collection

Specific personal data is given by website visitors signing up to: 

  1. House of Seaweed Newsletter: Name, Job Title, Name of Business, Email Address 
  2. Downloading our Product and Services guide. 

The information we collect will only be used in accordance with the ‘Data Protection Law’ which includes the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679; the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and all relevant EU and UK data protection legislation. This information helps to ensure we can offer appropriate services to your business interest connecting with us in the long term. 

If you would like to: access, correct, amend or delete any personal information, register a complaint, or simply want more information contact our Privacy Compliance Officer at info@houseofseaweed.com. All onwards communication from the business will offer unsubscribe facilities clearly accessible to all recipients. 

At no point will any data collected by House of Seaweed be shared with Third Parties, all data will be stored for internal business use only.

  • Google Analytics is a web analytics service that tracks and reports web traffic, visitors’ interactions, and other metrics to help us understand users experience and improve our website. Cookies include: "_ga" and "_gid": These cookies are used to distinguish users and sessions. " _gat": This cookie is used to throttle request rate, limiting the collection of data on high-traffic sites. " _gac": This cookie stores campaign information for analytics tracking. " _gaexp": This cookie is used to determine a user's inclusion in an experiment and the expiry of experiments a user has been included in.

LinkedIn Cookies 

  • The LinkedIn Insight Tag helps us understand who has visited the website, including the URL, referrer, IP address, device and browser characteristics, timestamp, and page views.
